I don’t know much about Ableton Live, but I’ve been able to run LMMS (DAW) and Kdenlive (video editor) on pretty much every Linux or Windows computer I’ve tried them on. I’ll bet there are some features in the pro tools that LMMS and Kdenlive don’t do as nicely, or don’t do at all… but for what I need, they’re just fine.
