The machine is made up of easily replaceable parts, so it is designed to be able to adapt and change along with operating systems. I don't work at Framework, Microsoft, or Canonical, so I can't speak to the future of any of these companies, but the intention is to be able to keep updating the Framework laptop piece by piece, or repair it if needed.
